What is Linux?

Linux is a widely used operating system for education, scientific calculations, and supercomputers. Apart from windows and macOS, Linux is open source and free to use OS. It has hundreds of Distros (Types) Like Ubuntu, Mint, elementary OS, Fedora, Kali, Parrot OS, and others.

What is Linux?

Just like Windows, iOS, and Mac OS, Linux is an operating system. In fact, one of the most popular platforms on the planet, Android, is powered by the Linux operating system. An operating system is a software that manages all of the hardware resources associated with your desktop or laptop. To put it simply, the operating system manages the communication between your software and your hardware.

What is the meaning of Opensource?

Linux is also distributed under an open-source license. Open-source follows these things.

  • The freedom to run the program, for any purpose.
  • The Freedom to study how the program works, and change it according to your need.
  • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor.
  • The freedom to distribute or sell your own modified versions to others.

These points are crucial to understanding the community that works together to create the Linux platform.

Where is Linux?

Linux is Everywhere. I know everywhere you can windows os but that's not proper information. if we count every device of Linux then we can see the wide view of Linux uses. Do you know Android is also based on Linux Kernel? and every Android mobile, Android TV, Android Watch (Wear OS) now count which is more used windows or Mac or Linux.

Here I am not showing the superiority of Linux or I can say I don't need to show the superiority of Linux. Linux is superior. Thanks to Linus Torwald.
