About 3 months before, Jio industries announced that they are launching a smartphone in partnership with Google On 10 September 2021. But due to semiconductor chip shortage it will be delayed till Diwali. Reliance Industries said the additional time would help the telecom firm mitigate the current industry-wide trend of semiconductor shortages globally.

Due to covid-19, People started to buy new devices like Laptops, Mobiles, Webcam, etc. due to this a heavy demand was created in the market. Big companies started to store these components and Now this happens. Some reports say this may exist up to 2 years.
